The Unicorn Fun Run, included as standard. Our 25ft unicorn obstacle course castle — and on this party it is in the price, not an upgrade. It is our own castle rather than one hired in, so we know it is coming and we know what state it is in.
Unicorn hobby horse racing. Two teams, hopping through the hoops on our unicorn hobby horses, with the dads sent up first to demonstrate — which is usually the funniest two minutes of the afternoon.

Some children want the front, the microphone and every eye on them. Others find that the worst thing imaginable. Both are completely normal and we have seen both a thousand times.
Tell us when you book if you have any worries — shyness, anxiety, Autism, ADHD, sensory sensitivities, anything at all. We adapt the pace, the volume and how we bring them in.
Two of our own children have Autism and ADHD, so this is personal rather than a policy line. We would always rather have that conversation before the day than on it.

❓ Questions parents ask
What do I need to provide?
The venue and the food. That is genuinely it. We bring the entertainment, the disco, the castle, the games, the props and the medals. You will need a standard mains socket, and room for the castle if you are having one.
How much space does the Unicorn Fun Run need?
The castle itself is 25ft long by 10ft wide by 8ft high — but it needs 3ft of safety matting at each end and room for the blower down one side, so the working footprint is more like 31ft by 13ft. Measure the floor, not the castle. Send us your dimensions and we will tell you honestly whether it fits, or bring a smaller themed castle instead.
Is the castle really included?
Yes. On this party the Unicorn Fun Run is in the £350. It makes the room easier for us to manage, so we would rather bring it than not. If your room cannot take it you still pay £350 and we fill that time with extra games instead — which is more work for us, not less.
Can we have the unicorn character?
Our unicorn mascot is £40 for 20 minutes. A full live character — a performer who talks, poses and runs a little routine — is £95 for 30 minutes and depends on availability on your date.
Is 3 too young, or 10 too old?
Neither. We run 3 to 10 on this party and the games flex either way — we have been doing pre-school groups for twenty years through Tickety-Boo and the dance school. Tell us the ages when you book and we will pitch it at the room rather than the middle.
My child is shy. Will they hate it?
Usually the opposite, but we never force it. Shy at home very often means something quite different once the music is on. If they want to watch for the first twenty minutes that is absolutely fine — they join in when they are ready, and they almost always do.
What about the deposit and paying the balance?
A £20 deposit secures your date. The balance is payable on the day by card, cash or BACS. No booking fee.
Can somebody in our family wear the mascot costume?
Yes, and that is the £25 surprise mascot. It is cheaper than having one of our team wear it because we are already at your party, so there is no journey to pay for. Any of our headed mascots — tell us which one when you book. Two things to know: the costumes fit somebody 5ft 3in to 6ft of small to medium build, and we ask that another grown-up walks alongside them, because the heads have very little vision. Most families run the reveal themselves, and the birthday child usually enjoys that more than a stranger in a suit.
My child is 1, 2, 3 or 4. Is this party right for them?
Yes, and we change the set-up for them. For the little ones we bring our Explore soft play as well — including the unicorn hopscotch mat and the unicorn rocker — so there is somewhere for them to play alongside the games.
When the little ones are there we run it differently — closer to one of our Stay & Play sessions — the structure and the songs the little ones know — with the full party games programme on top for the older ones, and more supervision through the free play. The soft play lays out across a mat 12ft by 18ft and takes the middle of the room, so we build the entertainment around it. We have been doing that for twenty years and we are quick at it.
Most of these parties are five and over, though, and for those we leave the soft play out on purpose — at that age the entertainer and the party games hold them completely, and the soft play would only cost you the floor. Tell us the ages when you book and we will bring the right set-up.
