🧙 Quidditch, In Your Hall
Flat out on a dolly board, quaffle in hand, aiming for the Gryffindor hole.
This is the one with the most in it. So many themed games that there is no room for a bouncy castle — and nobody has ever missed it, because they are too busy playing Quidditch.
Looking for a Harry Potter party in Birmingham, Solihull or Sutton Coldfield? We have been running them for years, and this is the fullest two hours we do.
🎥 Every kind of party we run, in 90 seconds
Watch it through and you will know exactly what you are booking.
⭐ What makes this a Harry Potter party
The Sorting Hat. Every child wears it and every child gets a house — and that house is the team they play Quidditch for. It runs right through the party rather than being a hat in a photograph.
Quidditch. The real thing, as close as a hall allows. Children lie flat on dolly boards, quaffle in hand, and fly down the room — then throw for our branded goal net, with the holes labelled Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. They throw for their own house, which is why the sorting matters. An adult controls each end of the run throughout. Older children usually power themselves along and race instead, which they prefer anyway.
Wand Magic, with wands and glasses for the children — and a wand game that needs every one of them.
No bouncy castle, and that is deliberate. There are so many themed games in this party that the castle would take time away from them. If you want a castle party, Dance & Bounce or any of our other themes will suit you better — and we would rather say so.
The Firebolt broomstick race. Two teams, hopping through the hoops on Firebolt broomsticks, with the dads sent up first to demonstrate — which is usually the funniest two minutes of the afternoon.
The props. This party carries more kit than any other in the range — the hat, the wands, the glasses, the Firebolt broomsticks, the quaffles and the house goal net, all used in the games rather than sat on a table looking decorative.
The themed games run from the first minute to the last, in Harry Potter language throughout, with the themed playlist behind them.
🚢 Add the Durmstrang Ship — £50
Our Battle Royale pirate ship, rebranded for this party as the ship that rises out of the lake in Goblet of Fire.
It hires on its own from £155. Added to your Harry Potter party it is £50 — no delivery charge, because we are coming to you anyway and it travels with us.
The ship is 30ft by 11ft — but the space you actually need is about 36ft by 14ft. That is 3ft of safety matting at each end and room for the blower down the side. It is the measurement most people get caught out by, so it is the one we give you.
Height is rarely the problem: 15ft with the mast up, or 10ft with the mast tied down. Give us your hall dimensions when you add it and we will tell you straight away whether it goes in.
Not included as standard. See it on our Bouncy Castles and Garden Games page.

🕒 How your two hours run
1We arrive 30 minutes early and set up. You do not need to help.
2Music on as they arrive, so there is never an awkward empty room.
3The Sorting Hat goes round — everybody gets their house.
4Wand Magic and the themed games, with the party story running underneath.
5Food break just past halfway. You lay it out, we keep the room calm.
6Back in for the disco, the Firebolt broomstick race and Quidditch.
7The parachute, with any grown-up who fancies it in the circle.
8Happy Birthday, with the birthday child front and centre.
9Medals, sweets and the big goodbye. We clear away around you.
🎯 The games
Simon Says · Treasure Hunt · Egg and Spoon · Mummy and Daddy Wrap · Hokey Cokey · The Bestest Ever Party Game In The World · The Parachute Game · Musical Statues · Musical Bumps · Happy Birthday — plus Quidditch and the themed games above, and activities adapted to the children and the space.
No knockout games, ever. Nobody is sent to sit down and watch. Doing pass the parcel? Bring the parcel and we will weave it in.
⭐ The birthday child is the star — however they shine best
Some children want the front, the microphone and every eye on them. Others find that the worst thing imaginable. Both are completely normal and we have seen both a thousand times.
Tell us when you book if you have any worries — shyness, anxiety, Autism, ADHD, sensory sensitivities, anything at all. We adapt the pace, the volume and how we bring them in.
Two of our own children have Autism and ADHD, so this is personal rather than a policy line. We would always rather have that conversation before the day than on it.

❓ Questions parents ask
Is there a bouncy castle?
Not on this one, and on purpose. There are so many themed games in the Harry Potter party that the castle would eat into them. If a castle is what your child really wants, have a look at Dance & Bounce or one of our other themes — we would rather point you to the right party than sell you the wrong one. You can add the Durmstrang Ship Bounce & Play for £50 if you want something to climb on.
How much space do you need?
A hall or a large room for the party itself, with a clear run of about 30ft so Quidditch works properly. If you are adding the Durmstrang Ship, that wants about 36ft by 14ft of clear floor — the ship is 30ft by 11ft, plus 3ft of safety matting at each end and space for the blower down the side. Measure the floor, not the ship. Send us your hall dimensions and we will tell you in a minute whether it fits.
Is Quidditch safe?
Yes. A grown-up controls each end of the run at all times — one sending, one receiving — and the children go one at a time with everybody else cheering from the side. Older children usually self-propel and race instead. If a child would rather not, they cheer, and nobody makes anything of it.
What do I need to provide?
The venue and the food. We bring the entertainment, the disco, the games, the props, the goal net and the medals. You will need a standard mains socket.
What about the deposit and paying the balance?
A £20 deposit secures your date. The balance is payable on the day by card, cash or BACS. No booking fee.
Can somebody in our family wear the mascot costume?
Yes, and that is the £25 surprise mascot. It is cheaper than having one of our team wear it because we are already at your party, so there is no journey to pay for. Any of our headed mascots — tell us which one when you book. Two things to know: the costumes fit somebody 5ft 3in to 6ft of small to medium build, and we ask that another grown-up walks alongside them, because the heads have very little vision. Most families run the reveal themselves, and the birthday child usually enjoys that more than a stranger in a suit.
Do you cover my area?
Birmingham, Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, Coventry and the surrounding West Midlands. Not sure? Ring and ask — you will get a straight answer in about ten seconds.
