🔫 Neon Nerf Wars In The Dark
Lights off, UV cannons on, and the darts go past like tracer fire. The same Nerf party, played in the dark.
We turn your hall into a field — barricades, camouflage, tunnels, 36 blasters and 30 sets of goggles — then we kill the lights and run it under UV. Your Tickety-Boo entertainer referees the whole thing from the front.
Looking for a Nerf party in Birmingham, Solihull or Sutton Coldfield? This is the one the older ones ask for by name.
🎥 Every kind of party we run, in 90 seconds
Watch it through and you will know exactly what you are booking.
⭐ What makes this the dark version
UV cannons. Powerful ones, not a blacklight bulb in the corner. They are what makes the neon camouflage and the props glow, and they are the whole reason this party looks like it does.
The darts become visible. Under UV in a dark hall you watch them fly. That is the moment children remember — and it is the difference between this and the daytime version.
It needs a dark room, and we will be straight with you about that. UV only works in the dark. A hall with big windows on a bright Saturday afternoon will not give you the party in the photographs. Evening works, a hall with blinds works, and our own Solihull venue has blackout blinds so any time of day works there.
Tell them to come in white or neon. It glows. The children work this out within about four seconds and it becomes part of the party.
Add the UV tattoo station for £50 and the glow-in-the-dark designs stay on for days. It is one of the most under-booked things we do and it suits this party better than any other.
🎉 What's included in your Neon Nerf Wars party
🎤 Two hours, hosted and refereedYour Tickety-Boo entertainer runs the whole thing from the front — safety briefing, teams, scoring and the calls. Nobody is left to work it out themselves.
🔫 36 blasters, in the price30 multi-shot blasters, 5 easier-action blasters for the younger or smaller hands, and 1 mega blaster. Darts included. Nobody brings anything.
👓 30 battle gogglesEveryone wears them. No goggles, no game — that is the rule and we hold it.
🛡 Barricades, camouflage and tunnelsA proper field built in your hall rather than a few chairs pushed about, and the children help build it.
🎯 The target shooting rangeAccuracy rounds between the battles, so it is not two solid hours of charging about.
🏅 A medal for every childSweets, the big goodbye and a Tickety-Boo medal each, handed over by name.
☀ Cannot get your hall dark?
Then book the daytime version instead — our Nerf Wars SWAT Party is the same field, the same kit and the same games without the UV, at the same £350. We would far rather put you on the right one than take your money for a UV party you cannot see.
🕒 How your two hours run
1We arrive 30 minutes early and build the field. You do not need to help.
2Goggles on and the safety briefing. Nobody fires anything before this.
3Combat training and target practice, so everyone can actually hit something.
4The children help build and move the barricades.
5Lights down, UV on, and into the team games.
6Food break just past halfway, with Happy Birthday before it so you have time to cut the cake.
7Back in for the big ones — Capture the Flag, Last Man Standing, Battle Royale.
8Medals, sweets and the big goodbye. We clear away around you.
🎯 The games
Blaster basics and safety training · Combat training and target practice · Barrier building · Agility training · Capture the Flag · Free For All · Last Man Standing · Battle Royale — five main game formats plus the training rounds, pitched at the ages in the room.
Nobody sits out for long. Some of the battle games have children tagged out — that is the point of them — but rounds are short and they are straight back in. We watch for the child who keeps going out early and we fix it.
⭐ The birthday child is the star — however they shine best
Some children want the front, the microphone and every eye on them. Others find that the worst thing imaginable. Both are completely normal and we have seen both a thousand times.
Tell us when you book if you have any worries — shyness, anxiety, Autism, ADHD, sensory sensitivities, anything at all. We adapt the pace, the volume and how we bring them in.
Two of our own children have Autism and ADHD, so this is personal rather than a policy line. We would always rather have that conversation before the day than on it.

❓ Questions parents ask
Does my hall really need to be dark?
Yes, for this version. The UV cannons are the product. If your hall has big uncovered windows and your party is at 2pm in June, book the Nerf Wars SWAT Party instead, or bring it to our Solihull venue where the blackout blinds mean an 11am party is as dark as a 7pm one.
What do I need to provide?
The venue and the food. We bring the blasters, the darts, the goggles, the barricades, the targets and the medals. You will need a standard mains socket and a clear hall floor — the bigger the better, because the field is what makes this party work.
Is it safe? My child is on the small side.
Yes. Goggles are compulsory, every child gets the safety briefing before a single dart is fired, and we referee it from the front rather than handing out blasters and standing back. The 5 easier-action blasters are there precisely for the younger end — they need less hand strength, and a grown-up can help with the pumping if needed.
Can the parents join in?
Yes, and they usually do. Dads in particular tend to arrive planning to stand at the back and end up on a team within twenty minutes.
Can we add a disco to it?
Yes — plenty of people do, so there is something for the ones who would rather dance than battle. Tell us when you book and we will split the two hours between the two.
How much space do you need?
As much clear floor as you can get. A church hall, community centre, school hall or sports hall is ideal. The field needs room for barricades, tunnels and two teams moving past each other, so a small front room will not do it. Send us your venue and we will tell you honestly whether it will work.
What about the deposit and paying the balance?
A £20 deposit secures your date. The balance is payable on the day by card, cash or BACS. No booking fee.
Can somebody in our family wear the mascot costume?
Yes, and that is the £25 surprise mascot. It is cheaper than having one of our team wear it because we are already at your party, so there is no journey to pay for. Any of our headed mascots — tell us which one when you book. Two things to know: the costumes fit somebody 5ft 3in to 6ft of small to medium build, and we ask that another grown-up walks alongside them, because the heads have very little vision. Most families run the reveal themselves, and the birthday child usually enjoys that more than a stranger in a suit.
Do you cover my area?
Birmingham, Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, Coventry and the surrounding West Midlands. Not sure? Ring and ask — you will get a straight answer in about ten seconds.
